The Containership Company expands no-frills services to Ningbo.

The Containership Company (TCC) has decided to expand current services to Ningbo. From 10 September the Great Dragon service will now call both Ningbo and Taicang and then cross the Pacific Ocean to Los Angeles.
Chief Operating Officer Franck Kayser states: “Ever since we started our first service out of Taicang our customers have repeatedly asked us to expand our no-frills service concept to other Chinese ports. We are pleased to be able to take this step to meet our customers’ demand.”
With the phase-in of TCC’s new larger vessels completed, the expansion in service scope to Ningbo can now be made while maintaining capacity and scope of the existing Taicang to Los Angeles service.
The first sailing from Ningbo is scheduled to take place 10 September with the 2,900TEU vessel Nanjing Dragon. This service will have a scheduled transit time of 17 days to Los Angeles and provide customers with a no-frills simple port to port service. “Our customers simply want equipment to be available, and then have it moved from A to B. This is what we are providing them from Taicang, and this is what we will provide from Ningbo” says Franck Kayser.
